Complete step-by-step guide to configuring your Sinch carrier account, purchasing virtual numbers, creating dedicated Fax Services, and connecting BYOC faxing to Intelligent Office Suite.

Sinch is an enterprise telecommunications and cloud communications provider. Connecting your own Sinch account to Intelligent Office Suite enables high-reliability digital fax transmission, virtual DID provisioning, and real-time inbound fax intake with automated AI clinical review—all while taking advantage of your clinic's custom carrier rates.

Step-by-Step Sinch Account Configuration
Follow these sequential steps in your Sinch Console and Intelligent Office Suite dashboard to set up digital faxing:
Purchase or Select a Number on Sinch
Acquire a voice/fax-capable virtual DID
Log into your Sinch Console and navigate to Numbers > Your Numbers (or go to Rent Numbers).
- Search for a local area code or toll-free number matching your clinic's geographic region.
- Ensure the purchased number has Voice capabilities enabled (Voice is required by Sinch to carry the fax audio channel).
Create a Fax Service in Sinch
Provision a Fax V3 application container
Navigate to Fax > Services in your Sinch dashboard.
- Click Create a Fax Service.
- Enter a recognizable name, such as
Intelligent OfficeSuite Faxor your clinic name. - Save the service to generate the Fax Service ID.
Assign Phone Number to the Fax Service
Route voice/fax audio traffic to your Fax Service
Return to Numbers > Your Numbers and click on your target phone number:
- Click on the Voice tab at the top of the number details page.
- Under Voice Configuration, select the Fax radio button (instead of Voice).
- In the Service dropdown menu, select the Fax Service created in Step 2.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the page to apply the routing.
Connect Sinch in OfficeSuite Integrations
Link your Sinch Project API credentials
Obtain your Sinch API credentials and connect them in Intelligent Office Suite:
In OfficeSuite, navigate to Settings > Integrations, click Connect on the Sinch tile, paste your credentials, and click Test Integration.
Add Fax Number Line & Assign Location
Configure location routing and outbound referral permissions
In Intelligent Office Suite, navigate to Settings > Fax Numbers and click Add New Fax Number Line:
- Select Sinch as the provider.
- Click Fetch Numbers to auto-populate your active Sinch numbers, or enter your number.
- Assign the line to your clinic location (e.g. East Montgomery).
- Ensure Send Outbound Referrals and Receive Inbound Referrals are checked.
- Click Save Fax Number. OfficeSuite automatically configures the webhook endpoint on your Sinch number via API.
How the Fax Engine Operates
Once your Sinch Fax line is provisioned and linked to your location:
When an outside practice faxes patient records, Sinch triggers our webhook. The system renders the document, extracts demographic and clinical data via Gemini AI, and surfaces it in your Fax Inbox.
When sending referrals or signed physician orders, OfficeSuite verifies your location's outbound fax line, dispatches the PDF directly via your Sinch project credentials, and applies your own_fax_price rate.
